OUR INSTRUCTORS

Brad is a lifelong firearms enthusiast, who has more than 35 years experience shooting and reloading his own ammunition. He is a former SeaBee military instructor in the U.S. Navy Reserves and a retired law enforcement officer/range master/armorer for the State of California. Brad has been a competitive shooter for over 21 years. In addition to winning hundreds of local matches, Brad holds over 12 California state titles, two semi national titles, and six top 5 finishes at Wold Competitions. He is also a current DOJ firearms instructor.

John Helm, Instructor / Owner

​John is a professional trainer that has been a firearms enthusiast for over 35 years. He is a Life member of the NRA and has been an active member for over 20 years. He is a DOJ Certified Instructor, an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor and an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer. John teaches CCW, Basic Pistol, Defensive Handgun, and more. During his courses he focuses on the knowledge, skills and attitude of safe firearms fundamentals. He specializes in courses for the new as well as experienced shooter.​
